About

Faith Again grew out of a Think Again discussion group on “Mormon History and Faith Crisis” organized by Jay Griffith mid 2013. James McConkie was the primary speaker. There was such an overwhelming attendance that the hosts, Elizabeth and Mark England, suggested that an additional group be organized for those who may be struggling to find faith and reasons to stay in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Jay continues to manage the group and the England’s continue to generously host it—usually on the first Friday of each month. We have been very fortunate to have some of the brightest and best lead our discussions.

A broad spectrum of LDS members from libertarian, conservative to liberal and progressive attend, all at different places in their faith journey. Some hold callings and attend the temple while others have left the church but desire to stay connected to a community of faith. A few who attend are active in other religions or are theists, agnostics, secularists, and atheists. It is a gathering where individuals who have questions about doctrines, history, culture, or who hold other religious or even secular views can come and discuss them without fear and judgement. While it isn’t a place to come and rag on the LDS church or religion in general, we welcome critical but compassionate thinking on all topics.

We welcome your input and participation. If you have any questions regarding the group feel free to contact us at thinkagain.faithagain@gmail.com
